행복한 호박 넝쿨 전

Happy Pumpkin Vine

 

나는 지난 20년 동안 시골과 도시를 오가며 살았다.

호박 넝쿨은 매년 여름마다 만나는 평범한 식물이었고,

항상 무심히 보아왔었다.

그런데 어느 날부터 다르게 보였다.

뻗어나가는 줄기는 자유롭고, 커다란 호박은 풍요롭고,

잎과 새싹은 사랑스러웠다.

마치 줄기로 이어진 가족 같았고, 행복한 호박넝쿨로 보였다.

Over the past couple of decades, I have spent my years splitting time between the countryside and the city.

Pumpkin vines were ordinary plants I encountered every summer, and I didn’t give much thought to them.

In one day, they started to look different.

The sprawling vines seemed free, the large pumpkins appeared abundant, and the leaves and buds were lovely.

It was as if they were a family connected by the vines, and they looked happy.
